So after confusing the Liebster award with some sort of Oscar nomination, I found out from the very lovely Clare at Sons Sand And Sauvignon, that she had nominated me to take part in this fun set of questions, so people can get to know us bloggers a little bit better and just spread the love a bit.
So big thank you Clare!
Here are the rules for all those taking part:
1. Acknowledge and thank the person that nominated you.
2. Use an award image to add to the post.
3. Answer 11 questions given to you
4. Nominate up to 11 blogs
5. Don't forget to let them know!
6. Give them 11 questions to answer.
Soooo, here are my questions and answers!
1. Why did you start blogging?
I was literally sat on my sofa one day, writing things in my little 'notebook' section of my phone and thought 'hey, I should really see if anyone else likes this' and that was it! It's a great outlet of creativity for me.
2. Which one of your posts is your favourite and why?
I laughed at this one, as, at the time of writing this my blog has only been live 2 days and has only 1 post on it, so, its my eBay guilt post, and for the exact reason I have just said! Its also my first post published by another website, so I love it for that too.
3. Sweet or Savoury?
Sweet. Always sweet.
4. Tea or coffee?
Tea. I can't stand any form of coffee at all. I have child like taste buds.
5. Which is your favourite room in your house?
Good question! Umm, probably my girls playroom as I worked quite hard setting it all up for them and finding great, quality pieces for as cheap as I could. It's really bright and colourful and I would of loved it as a child. Its their own little space.
6. If you could meet one person past or present who would it be?
My great-grandfather. He passed away the same month I was conceived and their has always been a 'thing' about us being connected in someway. Ive heard so many stories of what a wonderful, kind man he was, I would love to just give him a hug.
7. Are you a working parent or a stay at home mum?
I have done both, but now and for the majority of the time I have been a SAHM. When I did go out to work it was night shifts at a maternity ward, which was great as I didn't need child care, but not great as I was beyond tired. Now with 3 toddlers at home, night shifts are out of the question, so im very happy to be able to stay with them. Saying that, I have started 1 million businesses from home, so I sort of dabble in both.
8. If there was one piece of advice you could give your 18 year old self, what would it be?
Clare, another very good question! I think it would be to get in a career, any career, but get in one and work your back end off so you will always have something to fall back on. I started my career late, had children early and it left me with a big void. I'm at peace with it now as my life has taken on a different role now I have such a big family, but a career is something I will drill into my girls.
9. Do you have any regrets?
No. I'm not one to regret things really, as I have the mind set that whatever you did, you chose that, at the time. I also go by the saying that everything leads you to where your meant to be. So, I can't regret anything. (except maybe dying my hair blonde once)
10. 'When I grow up I want to be...' What did you want to be?
A RAF sea and air rescue pilot. Yep. That's right.
11. Do you have a secret talent?
I'm quite a good poet, although you wouldn't know it. (see what I did there?!?) I had one published once!
There you go! Done! Hopefully you got a little insight into me...
So now for my nominations!
